Yep, my roommate finally sprung the big one. He wants me out of the house by Oct 11. He is "putting the house on the market" and wants me out before then, never mind that he has no confirmed buyer (my theory is that he wants the house to be "marketable", and I'm anything but that - yeah, and BTW he's a "solid Christian", Bible study leader, blah blah blah..)
So on Friday I looked at an apartment in Reston, only 5 minutes from where I work.. guy and I talked a while and seems cool.. my only concern will be the credit check the apartment will have to do to build a joint lease..
Today I went to an apartment in Ashburn, about 15 minutes from where I work.. guy and I talked a while and seems cool.. same concern..
Later today I went to a house in Sterling, about 10 minutes from where I work.. talked to the woman who owns the house (doesn't live there); she and I talked a while and connected, and this was the favorite so far of all the places I checked out.. again, same concern..
Still have 2 other places to check out, one on Monday night wayyyyy out in Bristow (which is about 45 mins from where I work), and Tuesday night wayyyy out in Dale City (about an hour from where I work)
I ask You to bless Phil with a new and wonderful place to stay. He has had a VERY HARD year, being arrested for "stealing" his own stolen car, among other things, and needs some of Your blessings to rain down upon him. He loves You and loves to serve You with his whole heart. Please, let him find a nice new place to call "home". For in Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
I have 3 other roommates and live only 5 mins further from work, but ironically I live 5 minutes from a bunch of unsaved Goth people that I have been ministering to. :)
