Ultimate One-egg Omelette

I came in to housesit the other day, and hadn't got the store yet, and the pantry was light.  So, using what I had, I came up with one of my best dishes ever.

Beat one egg with 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream (OMG I'm never using milk in omelettes again, this makes them so light and fluffy).

Add one handful of walnut pieces and a few shreddings of Swiss cheese.

Fry in a small, hot, well-greased frying pan until puffy and cooked through.  Flip if necessary.

Top with 1 tablespoon of strawberry preserves and a drizzle of honey.

THIS WAS INCREDIBLE!

I LOVE omelettes! This one will be a good one!

But can you substitute bacon bits for nuts?

And I have never heard of cooking an omelette with cream before!

Thanks for the tip!

They didn't have any milk.  And it was one-egg because that was all they had.

You do know that you can do whatever you want with a recipe, right?
