A Poem

here's a poem I didn't write, and i don't know who did.
It was on the back cover of a leftist newsletter within my denomination

Mission
Mark the path of God before us,
Taste the feel of peace abroad.
Through the anger of the nations
Hear the gentle voice of God.
Know the company he offers,
Walk the streets that he has trod.

At the sight of hearts delivered
From the tyranny of sin,
Minds that know the taste of freedom
Born of one who dwells within;
Then we know of Christ's own presence,
Know the coming of the king.

When we see a land abundant
Grace the tables of the meek;
When a people, all unhindered
Find the liberty they seek,
Then we see the strength of mercy,
Own the power that once was meek.
