West Coaster??

Where do you live, Chris?? lol...I suppose I could look on your profile.

I believe I'm the only west-coaster who posts...no?? (Forgive me if I'm wrong!)

So, I was planning for Summer of 2007. However, do any of you foresee anything earlier? Or could you?

Where is Steve?? Anybody heard from him? Hope he's ok!!

I was hoping for cooler weather, like maybe fall of 2007.  We love to get away from Houston's 15 minutes of spring & fall, and 30 minutes of winter!  COOL weather would be awesome.


CaliPK is in California, so she' farther west than you.


Steve's working hard and tired.  I'm sure he'll stop by this weekend.

I know money may be an issue for a lot of people...but would anyone be opposed to doing it a little earlier than a year from now?

I'd like to do it earlier than next summer; I'll be moving to wherever I end up doing my Master's. So if it's earlier than that, it's good for me.

Then that counts me out, toward the end of the year I make my annual pilgrimage to Norway for NordicFest and on top of that I am having to assume leadership duties for our annual Goth gathering this year in the Mid-Atlantic region, so that means I'll have no realistic time to do much of anything else (outside of family-obligated holiday activities)

Since you are going there in the fall, I recommend going to see the fall colors of the trees in the Great Smokey Mountains. They will be gorgeous with their red, yellow and brown colors. Can you get a tour bus to take you through there?

I dont know of any tour buses going through the Smokies.. honestly I get bored quickly there. And it might be too far for some people.


Pretty county though. I just cant imagine it being a gathering friendly though.. it gets crowded fast and it is very hard to find a gathering place. I have been there quite a few times hence I am sick of it :) LOL Not trying to complain or anything.. its just not that interesting.

Well, I think the meeting is supposed to be in Nashville, rather than the Smokey Mountains. Nashville was chosen because it's central for most people, but I know it's really far for some.

hey look at it this way guys.. at least we didnt just pick a place and a time and said this is when it is.. we talked to you guys and wanted yalls input.. we picked a somewhat central location and a good time for most of you.


we could of been like GCN and picked a very NOT central location (Orlando, FL)

THAT'S ANOTHER THING! We'll have to have a thread that will have all of the pictures that will be taken. How many people here have a digital camera with a memory card in it? If you do, please snap away at all of the sights and people and fun stuff! Then, when you get back, you can either set up a thread that shows all of them, or better yet, just email them to everyone that couldn't go. This way, EVERYONE can feel like they were a part of it!

Yes....sorry guys...work has been kicking my butt lately, but I am on vacation now!!! I dont go back to work until July 10th....2 days before my birthday if anyone cares! :) I will have much time to set all the details in the next few days. So, be glued to the site for up and coming details soon!!! Yes, Amy and I will definately be talking on the 4th, and you guys are going to love what we do!
