I actually got so angry that I just turned it off hehe! I had the tv turned up really loud, and the annoying boing-boing guitar soundtrack was in danger of waking up the whole household, but STILL I couldn't understand what the actors were mumbling. I was seriously straining myself and couldn't understand but 2 words out of every 100.

I understood the opening-- who needs dialogue to understand the two guys falling for each other? But after that I couldn't understand anything else, so I stopped. Maybe there was something wrong with it, but I would have needed subtitles to understand the rest of the movie.

Try reading the book.  I read the book before seeing the movie, so I knew what was going on.  Heath Ledger must have stuffed his mouth with cotton before any of that dialogue!  But I still loved the movie!
