Is it me, or does David Blaine just completely freak you out with all his "magic". I mean, how does he do some of that stuff. It's just weird, weird, weird. And don't say smokes and mirrors, I don't believe it's just smokes and mirrors.

As for me...I like Penn and Teller. I like the way they infuse comedy into their stuff. It's like the old Vaudeville ways done over for today's culture.
And I like some of the stuff that they did on Showtime's "Bullsh*t!". It told the truth about a LOT of the garbage that is being passed off as "religion" & "science" nowadays.
I get the creeps whenever I see David Blain. There is something about his eyes that just seems to project pure evil. I think that he has a conduit from Satan himself to do his "magic". Just my opinion, but hey, he's creepy.

Oh my God! I get the same feeling! It's just some of the things he does like leviatation and other freaky magic tricks is just to weird.

I checked out a DVD of Penn & Teller Bull**** from my library. It was awesome!! They convinced people to have "snail therapy" in a mall where they put these huge snails on people's FACES and let them walk around. Just because they said the snail goo was healthful, people were like "Ooooh yeah I can FEEL it working!!! Mmmm" So funny!
I've never seen David Blaine, I don't think. But from what everyone says here, I don't think I'm missing much.

Is anyone planning on watching David Blaine's "Drowned Alive" thing tonight? I don't get why it has to be 2 hours long! He's only supposed to be under water for 9 minutes. Couldn't they have done a 15 minute special?

I didin't watch it either but as I get all my current event news from just reading the headlines on aol and msn I know that he lived but they pulled him out early.
