I don't know if this made the news near you guys or not. Five students in the IU school of music died last night in a plane crash. They were all grad students- one girl, four guys. Three were voice majors, two were choral conducting majors. One of the singers sang at my church for a while-- I now wear his robe every sunday because I outgrew mine.
Anyway it's very sad. The girl was a pilot in addition to being a voice student, and they were flying back in a small private plane from an out-of-town rehearsal. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Please pray for Georgina Joshi, Chris Carducci, Zack Novack, Garth Eppley, and Robert Samels (the guy I knew the best)- and especially for their families. Also please pray for the town. We're such a safe little liberal college town; when things like this happen, it shakes people up. And I'm sad too.

We ask you with saddened hearts to please be with the people of Chris' small college town, and that you will bring blessed peace and assurance to its members. It is so sad to see things like this happen to us. We don't know why you let this happen, but we know that for whatever reason it is, that you are here for us, and that you will give us a shoulder to cry on as we face these trials to our faith in you. We ask you to be with the families of those that were lost in this crash. Bless them with the grace and love and peace that can only come from you. Show them that their loss makes you just as sad as they are, and that you will be with them in their time of grief. Help us all to find you in the midst of all of this. For in Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
I will definitely pray for the familise of these students lost in this tragedy. Chris I will be praying for you and your church as well.
