Teddy & I managed to get away for a couple of days to a bay house in Galveston. It was wonderful! The house was big and gorgeous and was on West Bay. The house faced west so I got to watch the sun go down over the water. Beautiful!
Teddy did a lot of fishing from the boat slip at the house. The house next to where we stayed had 2 lights anchored down in the water that attracted the fish at night. It was so cool to stand there on the deck above the boat slip and watch the fish swim through the light eating the 100's of little bait fish (or whatever they were eating!). But the coolest thing we saw was was a stingray just floating along in the water. Except he wasn't floating flat like you'd think, but was vertical in the water, like a light colored square standing on one corner just bobbing along. The only way we could tell he was alive was seeing the light reflecting from his eyes.
Don't you just love God's world and the little surprises He has for us all? We need to take more time to see it!
