What do you do for a living?

Just curious what everyone here does.  I know we have artists, and cowboys, and financial whizzes, etc.  So let's share a little about our every day life.

I work for Teddy (he can tell you about his job) and I also help Alan (he can tell you about his job too!)  So I'm kind of a receptionist, secretary, AR & AP person, janitor, gopher, etc.  Whatever needs to be done.  I also get to be at home a lot and play "housewife".

I'm a clarinetist, and I'm also a personal chef. I have other jobs too, including work for Lutheran Campus Ministry at Indiana University.

I work in property management for a guy that owns a lot of rental properties in Long Beach, CA, Riverside, CA and Phoenix, AZ.  My current position is Assistant Maintenance Supervisor for the Long Beach office but at times I assist in Riverside as well.  I manage 8-10 maintenance guys on a daily basis and I also schedule outside vendors to do everything and anything you can think of.  I also process all of our move outs.

I also help Jen do a lot of stuff for her art career - mostly it's the tedious stuff like stamping and addressing postcards, doing research online, and brainstorming with her for new ideas (well, that part isn't tedious).  I try to do a lot of things for her so that she can have the time that she needs to draw and still leave time for us.

I'm a senior student at a high school for the deaf, but I am going to graduate this year. And I am going to be at Gallaudet University in Washington D.C this Aug (if money and application will be okay then I'll be there)....:) I hope so. But other than that I'm pretty unemployed.

I work for a state agency doing dispute management...  (hmmm, that kinda makes sense, doesn't it?  never thought about that before...)

I also have a part-time investment & finance business.  I want it to be full time soon.

And... I'm applying to seminary to get prepared for full time ministry.

And... I lead the young adult ministry at my church.

And... I participate occassionaly with the music ministry & the lay ministry teams.

And... I'm starting to be involved in other areas of church leadership.

And... I have an amazing new boyfriend.

I am now unemployed and have been since early June of 2003{ thats the point in time that my employer found that they "were unable to accomodate" the medical restrictions I was placed on } due to my health problems: Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and pain, muscle weakness and many other related symptoms/conditions that occur w/ Fibromyalgia.

Prior to my illness, I was employed part-time then Full-time for a Non profit agency that provided Health care & In- Home services for Senior citizens{my area was: MEALS on WHEELS. } I miss that work and the many many clients I saw regularly and all the volunteers that helped our agency.

That work somehow prepared Me for some of the "things" I now face dealing with my Drs.' & going for tests, all of the medical STUFF. Learning how to be soooooooo Patient !!!

I work in the production/manual labor field. (Assembly line.)
I fill IV bags manually/on an automated machine, and send them down the belt, then inspect them for quality purposes--sending them on to packout when they pass the fill room I work in.
It's hectic. I move carts around which weigh over 500 lbs each, and some could get to weigh close to 1,000 lbs, depending upon how many bags we pile on it.
The bags full of solution are for people who are on dialysis. Both PD, and HD.

So, basically, I help extend lives.
I'm in the process of looking for a part-time job on the side. So, I could save up, and actually start going to college. I've been a freshman for like 4 years, and I want to change that. :)

I'm looking forward to a major in either Microbiology or Bioengineering.

I'm building a healing practice as a healing coach. When that gets to be full-time, I will quit my part-time store manager job.

Non-profit, community based. Maybe soon self-employed!

I do high-risk education (various populations), case management, hiv testing, community outreach, etc, etc, etc.

Part of a dream of mine is to be self-employed and to travel, minister, speak, teach, mentor, etc...

Who knows that this dream is now begining to hatch. I think the egg is beginning to crack.
