Okay, so my brother Jake has just recently came out to our family. And while it's been total chaos, he's handing everything totally well. But, some of our outside family members have become more rude than usual, and calling him and telling him that he's going to hell, etc. He's just starting to have a really hard time with it. So, if you think about, send some good thoughts and prayers his way.

I will be praying for your brother and your entire family. I know how hard this is for all of them. If your brother would like to email me, or my son, just let me know. We would be happy to talk to him.
Actually, that goes for anyone in your family. I know that it would have been very helpful for us to have had someone to talk to who had already walked this path. I'm here for any of them!

Help Jake's family see that he is still their beautiful child. They just now know that he is a little bit different from the rest of them...as we ALL are different from one another. Let your love abound and your grace to over-abound within this family. Let them see that their Jake is still the same person that they know. He's just another "flavor" in the ice cream parlor of life. Be with them all as they undergo this personal trial of the family bonds. Let them know that You are with them all...still loving ALL of them. For in Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
