Church member and pancreatic cancer

Hi,
I just got back from visiting an elderly church member with pancreatic cancer.
I actually stayed with her when I came here to preach for the call.
she's very positive and looking forward to heaven.
as I was leaving she said 'it's been nice getting to know you.'
I found it hard, keeping it together, throughout the whole visit (which was only about 20 minutes as there were other people waiting to visit her).
It's weird because I'm usually an icy rock.
anyway, pray for her and her family please.
M

I'm praying too, Mike.  What a beautiful attitude to have that late in life!  I'm praying for you too, because I get the feeling that when she is gone, it's going to be very painful for you!

Dear Heavenly Father,

Be with this beautiful woman as she faces to cross that great "River Jordan" into the TRUE Promised Land that You have given to ALL of us who have entrusted ourselves to You. May you give this woman and her friends and family the blessed peace that they will need to get through this most trying of times. Let Your presence be felt among each one of them. Send Your angels of mercy to hold them as they cry. Give them the truth that You are waiting for her when the time comes...to give her the crown of eternal life and tell her, "Well done, my good and faithful servant! Enter into the joy of your Lord!" For in Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

That's an awesome ministry, Mike - that visit.  God bless you and I pray for this woman and her loved ones.
