I found out on Monday that my son's step mom (my ex's common law wife) who I am very close to - they have been together for YEARS - since my son was 2 or 3 and we all hang out and talk often - at least a few times a week, anyways, I just found out that she may have ovarian cancer. She is kind of being flippant about it but I'm sure she's scared. We won't know for sure for about two weeks because they have to run tests and do an ultrasound and all that. I know that my ex, Denny, is scared, because yesterday he picked a huge fight with me for almost no reason and no matter how calm I was he just kept getting crazier and crazier and I know he is just taking out his fear on me, so I'm not going to hold it against him. So please pray that everyone will stay calm and not add additional stress to the situation and also that if she does have cancer that it hasn't spread and they can just go in and get rid of it. She has also helped raise my son as long as he can remember and this will affect us all. I'm trying to be calm about it since we don't know for sure yet but of course I keep thinking about it.

I'll be praying for her. And for the rest of you! I'm amazed and impressed that you can all be friends. And you did the right thing remaining calm when your ex was unloading on you. He must be terrified!

I lift up to You this dear child of yours that is going through a very scary time for her and her family. Be with her and her family and her friends as this ordeal plays out. Let the tests come back okay. Ease the husband's fears and calm him, just as you have calmed me when I face these times in my family's lives. Help them to see You through the dark clouds of despair and worry. Let Your hope and love lift them up to where they need to be as they undergo this trial of their love and faith. May Your peace reign within their hearts. Bless them, Lord. For in Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
Your reaction to your ex's obvious distress was amazing. I, too, am so glad to hear of your great relationship with all concerned and my prayers will be for each, and all, of you.
Thanks everyone. It's pretty likely actually that she does have ovarian cancer as her sister is the only other female in her family that has not yet been diagnosed with this form of cancer. Her mom, grandma, aunts have all had it - but they are all survivors.

Well, the good news is it's not ovarian cancer. It's not even her ovaries. The bad news is that it is her kidneys. They don't know exactly what is wrong yet, just that she has a number of large cysts. She will be going to a specialist in a couple weeks.

Be with Susan's friend and family as they undergo this NEW trial. Thank you for letting the problem not be with her ovaries. But now the doctors say that the problem is with her kidneys. Heal her, Lord. Bless her with good health and a long and prosperous life. Let the bill problems be taken care of. Give them all you peace and comfort as they undergo yet ANOTHER time of testing. Build them up even STRONGER than ever. For in Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
May the Lord bless your family, and continue to bless you.
Be yourself!!! Don't try to fit into someone else's mold, you won't fit!!! And that just leads to utter misery!!! Live life to it's fullest in Christ's love every day!!!
Praying for her and any treatment that might follow the specialists appointment.

Hi guys. Tina went to the specialist yesterday and it's mostly good news. She does have a kidney condition of which I can't remember the name of right now! But basically it's called a 'spongey kidney' or something. She has a cyst in one and the condition is likely to cause kidney stones however it seems like other than monitering it and draining the cyst nothing too serious has to happen. They did, however, discover a tumor in one of her ovaries which she will have to have checked out also. Agh! I had a difficult time concentrating on what she was telling me yesterday because yesterday my mom also told me that she probably has cancer of the uterus and ovaries/or precancerous condition/fibroid tumors and no health insurance. So I kind of freaked out yesterday and left work early and cried a lot. But I talked to my mom and my sister a lot and my mom has a plan and she is very positive so I'm trying to be positive too. It's just scary because nothing really bad has happened to anyone SUPER close to me. I'm feeling much better today but everyone please pray for my mom too.

I ask you to bless Tina and her family as they all go through this dark valley of sickness. We thank you that the condition with the kidney is not TOO serious, but we ask you for your healing power to be shown here. We lift her up to your precious love and light that she may be delivered from cancer and ill health. Help out with the financial problems that the medical bills will bring. Let each problem be taken care of in accordance with your will and in your time. Bless Tina and her family with the peace that passes all understanding as they hold on to their faith in you, in the doctors and in each other. Shine down your heavenly light of love upon this family in their dark hour. For in Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
May they Lord bless you Susan, and don't worry about what may come. God is in control.
YOU are in my prayers. You are experiencing alot at this time and I pray that the Lord will give you the strength that you need during this time of your life.
Tina will be in my prayers as she continues to have medical tests and treatments for her medical conditions. I will also pray for your family as they experience this with her.
My prayers will also be with your Mom. May the great Physician guide her doctors as they set out on a course of treatment for her possible cancer as well. May all her needs be provided as she goes through this time in her life.
May the God of Peace and Comfort abide with you and your family at this time. We are here for you my sister.
