I have a question.
In the book of Mark, chapter 15, verse 33 it say When it was noon, darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon. And at three Jesus cried out with a loud voice, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken me? And in verse 37: But Jesus let out a loud cry and breathed His last breath. Then the curtain of the sanctuary was split in two from top to bottom.
But in the book of Luke, chapter 23, verse 44 it says It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three, because the sun's light failed. The curtain of the sanctuary was split down the middle. And Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into Your hands I entrust My spirit." Saying this, He breathed His last breath.
So I am wondering, why in Mark did the curtain of the sanctuary split after Jesus took his last breath and in Luke it says the curtain of the sanctuary split before Jesus took his last breath. And Jesus said two different things in Mark and Luke? Let me be clear, this is just curiosity in my questioning. Is it just discrepancy that can be overlooked?
