I believe that we can learn a lot from this Election 2008.
We can not and must not have just voted (or not voted) and go back to our lives the way they were.
We must pray and seek God's will for our lives, and for the life of our country and it's leaders - locally, statewide and federally.
We must pay attention to and educate ourselves as to what is going on with our government - locally, statewide and nationally.
We must make our opinions known to our local, state and national leaders: write those letters, make those phone calls. We must not become complacent. If you study history, this would be dangerous for all people.
We must remember who we are and 'whose we are'.
God gave us 2 important things to remember, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind ... and love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:37
I believe this - "Do not worry ... but seek ye first the kingdom of God and God's righteousness, and all else will be given unto you." Matthew 6:28-34.
And therein is our hope for a great today and tomorrow! (received in an email 11-5-08)
