The Not-So-Young-Girl

Once upon a time there was a Not-So-Young-Girl living in a land called Bear Creek.  The Not-So-Young-Girl loved her home that she shared with her Sweetie, two dogs, two cats, two fish & 5 birds.  But every day, the Not-So-Young-Girl climbed in her carriage and rode many miles to work in the land of Luke.  The Not-So-Young-Girl loved the work she did in the land of Luke, but longed to be home.

For 10 years, the Not-So-Young-Girl and her Sweetie went to the Worship Place that was close to their home in the land of Bear Creek.  They spent many hours at the Worship Place, and grew to love the people there.  One day a new king-Dawg came to rule the Worship Place and was soon joined by the Mouse Queen.  While the Not-So-Young-Girl and her Sweetie tried to be happy at the Worship Place in the land of Bear Creek, the new rulers made them sad.

The Not-So-Young-Girl loved her friends, especially the hurting ones, and longed to be able to reach out to them.  One day, she asked the king-Dawg and the Mouse Queen if the Not-So-Young-Girl could serve the people in the land of Bear Creek.  The king-Dawg roared, “NO!  NO GAY STUFF HERE!!!”  The Mouse Queen hid behind the king-Dawg and made little mouse sounds.  Squeak!  Squeak!

The Not-So-Young-Girl traveled to the land of Luke with a heavy heart.  She knew the True King was speaking to her, telling her to serve her friends, but how do you serve others when someone stands in the way?  As the Not-So-Young-Girl sat in the small Worship Place in the land of Luke, the handsome prince invited her to take part in the ceremony.  How exciting!  Surely the True King had placed His hand on the shoulder of the Not-So-Young-Girl!  She could almost see Him smiling at her!

The King of Luke asked all the people of the land to write stories about reconciliation and forgiveness.  The Not-So-Young-Girl knew that she had a story to tell - a heartbreaking story with a happy ending.  The King of Luke and his court loved the story!  “We should share this with all the people”! they said! “Let’s make a giant cutout of the Not-So-Young-Girl and her son, and put it outside the big Worship Place for all to see!”

The Not-So-Young-Girl and her son joined together to create the giant cutout.  Soon, the Not-So-Young-Girl would be standing in front of many people, both hurting and happy.  She was sure the King of Luke, the handsome prince, her Sweetie, and the True King would gladly stand beside her as she reached out to her friends.  No longer would the king-Dawg and the Mouse Queen stand in the way as the Not-So-Young-Girl gave her heart to others.

The Not-So-Young-Girl and her Sweetie decided to try the Worship Place in the land of Luke.  But they both knew that, no matter what Worship Place they found, they would all live happily ever after.
