Not only is it Friday, it's pay day again!! Should have a fairly easy day at work. One of the folks I work with got all the newsletters printed for me, so all I have to do fold & label them. All 700 or so. This weekend, Teddy & I are going to be replacing the fence on the side of our house. The neighbors behind us are doing the back fence, but still moving at a snail's pace! Yeap, and the year is leaping forward... Everyone needs to hear and see this video of a talk Ellen DeGeneres made on her show about the 15 year gay teenager who was killed two weeks ago because he was gay. Here is an important message that was shared with me today from Ellen DeGeneres... Please share this with everyone you know. I applaud her... she is so eloquent and articulate... and this was very dramatic and more people need to say this and more people need to hear this... Thanks again for sharing... I did not know the reason kid killed the other kid was because the gay kid, Larry, had asked the other kid to be his valentine... wow! how much more tragic... that just because a kid found the courage to share with another kid that he liked him and did what is perfectly natural and normally accepted and many of his other classmates were doing no doubt (in the hetero world around valentines day)... It breaks my heart... on so many levels.... The amazing courage of this young man to be out at 15 had the courage to express his feelings for another young person... who happened to be his same gender... What a tragedy, but this child Larry gave us all a Tremendous Valentine of LOVE and let us not let his LOVE be Silenced! We need to do all we can to remove the fear that leads to violence surrounding individual differences....
