I dare you to figure this out

I was given this task to do by Person A because Person A's boss wanted him to do it instead.

I couldn't do this task because I wasn't trained like Person A was, so I went to my boss.

My boss told me to go to Person B for help.

I went to Person B

Person B told me to talk to Person C

I went to Person C

Person C told me that it wasn't their role to help and go to Person B

I went back to Person B

Person B refused to help because he was tasked to do something by Person A's boss

Person A sends me an email meanwhile insisting that I get this task done ASAP (and refuses to help)

So the task is still not complete even though I now am getting Persons D, E, F and G to help me

Only to find out in the end that it was Person A's responsibility and Person A's boss yelling at him for shirking his task order

And my boss yelling at me for not knowing how to do the first part of the task that wasn't mine in the first place to know how to do

For $1,000,000, what is the moral of this story?

Technically, it was mine, it was assigned to me by Person A, who happens to have a managerial role over me, along with 4 other guys

Not really, I have 5 bosses, so "my own work" is not that defined

Well, my philosophy is: over, done with, gone! (Stephen King is a great philosopher!) If it's not still an issue at work, let it go.

I have to in this case, but it's all to say that I'm miserable at my job. I constantly get things wrong and/or get accused of getting things wrong.

Why at 2:30AM this morning I got a call that I completely "botched up" an application package they were pushing at that time. Imagine that one.

well, honestly, saying "nah uh it wasnt me" looks worse then just taking what they say and say "im sorry, ill try to remember that". no job is perfect. sometimes we just have to grin and bare (bear?) it.
