This is a bulletin posted by a friend & client's of Alan's.  This song is amazing!  I feel certain that this song is going to be big!!! 

Please go to http://www.IndieHeaven.com, and click on Fan Faves.  Scroll down to near the bottom, and click on 5 stars for "Overwhelm Me".  Then refresh, and do it again!!!

Hey guys!  Well, it's a new month on the Indieheaven Fan Faves Chart and the stakes have been raised!  As some of you know, the best songs from the IH Fan Faves chart get picked to be put on the IH Top 20 Radio Chart which is published in Christian Radio & Retail Weekly Magazine.  Well, there have been new developments and from now on the Top 20 will be played a few times a month on Xm radio Channel 32 in an Indie Christian Music Radio Show!  XM Satelite radio as you know has a HUGE worldwide listening audience so the potential exposure is also HUGE!

What can you do, you ask?

VOTE VOTE VOTE!!  I have put "Overwhelm Me" into the Fan Faves Chart!  Let's get it in the Top 20 in the first week!  Starting today vote as many times as you can throughout the day.  And let's get this song on XM Radio

I voted twice... it is showing it at 126 but that came up from 128 after I voted... but it also says it is down from yesterday.

Okay, that's weird.  I voted my brains out yesterday, at least 50 times, giving him 5 stars each time.  Today it shows 55 points, and that it's down from yesterday, which makes no sense since he just posted it yesterday!  Jerry, you said it showed 128!  Makes me wonder how acurate that thing is.  But keep voting.  He needs to be in the top 20 within a month.

Have you heard the song?  It's amazing!!  Voting multiple times just help gets the song out there for others to hear.  I'm much more apt to listen to one of the top songs on this list.  If I were listening to anything other than Overwhelm Me, that is!

Apparently our votes are only counted ONCE... Lisa, you are looking at the wrong number... It is showing 55 points... it is Ranked... 126 Still down from Yesterday... So, I don't think it matters how many times you vote... I think it is only recording our vote one time... the only way it would count the vote more than once... would be you would have to go into your cookies and delete your cookie for that website, before voting each time... otherwise... It is only recording it as one vote... So, I think Thomas is on to something... while we are not cheating per se... because we want people to hear the song... this site has obviously set cookies up, so that our votes only count as one X our rating... so If I am reading this right... that means only 11 of us have voted ... which is how it gets 55 points... 11 x 5 stars = 55 points.

Right?

Your point only counts once a day, unless you delete the cookie... and it only changes at midnight... read the instructions at the top...copied below

The fan faves chart is designed for you the fans...rate your favorite songs and watch them move up the chart. If you don't see a song that you feel should be on the chart, contact that artist and ask them to add their song to fan faves. Come back daily to rate your favorite songs. The more rate points, the higher the song will be on the chart. Songs are left on the chart for 30 days and then deleted. This keeps a constant flow of new songs and the chart looking nice and fresh!

That does say "the more rate points, the higher the song will be on the chart".  It does say "vote added" each time, after you refresh.  It was Leo that told me you can vote over & over.  So I don't know what's right!

And the song was just added yesterday, and it was #153, so the down arrow next to #126 doesn't make sense!!

I'm so confused!!

But I'm going to vote a lot just in case!!!

According to the fine print, the votes are tallied and points awarded at midnight.  It does not add the votes or points as you vote.  Note the rise and number of points Overwhelm Me has today.......

Yeah, but if it's counting points, then the total should be much higher, because I've voted a lot & gave the song 5 points each time.  But I am glad it's moved up!  Keep voting!!

We want it to get to the top 20 in just a few days.  It started Thursday at #153, then was #126, now it's #93 (which is strange because I could have sworn it was #92 earlier today, and it doesn't change until midnight...)

Anyway, even you, Phil, have to admit it's an awesome song!  So vote away!!

Still #82 .... Leo is #3 in plays and #5 in views...

Why Doesn't Alan have any of his songs on there... is it because he doesn't belong to IndieHeaven?

If you've been following Overwhelm Me on IndieHeaven, you've notice that Overwhelm Me is gone from the Fan Faves.  I emailed Leo and asked why.  This is what he said:

Hey Lisa,

After putting the new song, "A Different Me" up on IH, the response from other IHers was so overwhelming. The president who is the last word on who gets into the Top 20 emailed me and said that if he were me, he'd replace Overwhelm Me with A Different Me, which is an indication that he may put it in the Top 20 next month. So, I decided to switch them out today.

I appreciate all of your support and all of the support of the gang at The Shepherd's Arms. I hope that once you guys here "A Different Me", your support will continue. Alan can tell you guys that this whole album really is my story. From beginning to end, it is my life to this point. "A Different Me" kind of sums it all up.
