The Letts go to Hollywood!

July 20, 2007, the Lett family, including Korey, flew to Los Angeles for the LA premiere of "We're All Angels".  The trip was wonderful!

Here are some of our memories...

Upon arrival in LA, we went to rent a car.  This is us waiting...

Our first stop was Baby Blues BBQ, a hole in the wall place that Teddy had seen on Food Network.  It was pretty good. 

The multiple pictures of me and Teddy are because Korey was determined to get one of me with my eyes open!  That is nearly impossible!!

Next stop - Venice Beach.  That's the stretch of sidewalk that you see in a lot of movies & TV shows.  Lots of skaters...  The sand was beautiful but intensely hot, and the water was blue & cold.

After the beach, we drove to Hollywood to drop the kids off at their hotel.  Then Teddy & I headed back toward the airport to the Embassy Suites (free drinks & breakfast!!)

The first picture is of the lobby of our hotel.  The second picture is Teddy on "Vacation"!


(More pictures tomorrow... this is taking a long time!  Also coming: short videos of Alan and Jason & deMarco singing a cappella!)

Hello Everyone, Wow what a time was had by all. The pics are great. Do you guys ( and gals) know now why I love this bunch so much. Aren't they the best??? I'm so glad they had this time away.

Okay, day 2!

After stuffing ourselves at the free breakfast at the hotel, Teddy & I ended up driving around before landing on Hollywood Boulevard.  These are pictures of the Walk of Fame, Chinese Theater, Kodak Theater, etc.

After Hollywood, we picked up the kids at their hotel & took them to Pink's Famous Chili Restaurant.  I use the term "restaurant" loosely, as it's only a hole in the wall.  (It seemed to be a theme for the weekend!)  It's one of those Hollywood places that (supposedly) is the favorite of a lot of stars.  Didn't see any, though...

Finally, it was time for the movie.  I have to admit, I was nervous about seeing my face so close up and so huge!  It was as bad as I thought, but at least I didn't sound too much like one of those east Texans we are going to see on our road trip!  (No offense to anyone!)  I won't give away the ending (haha) to the movie, but if you get a chance to see it, please do.  You will be blessed!

And finally, the video clips I promised.  The lighting is terrible, and the first two are only short little bits of the songs, but these are of Alan, Jason & deMarco singing together.  I started to record all of "It Is Well", but since the lighting was so bad, I changed my mind.  Once they started singing, I hated that I didn't get it from the beginning.  There's really nothing to see, just listen...
