My day started out with my landlord throwing me a bombshell - he claimed my November rent check bounced and I had to repay it with late fees.
I paid the rent on October 29, with a check post-dated for November 1, but my bank indicated that he never deposited the check until November 29, 1 month after I gave him the check!! When I confronted him on this he fired back with my "poor bookkeeping" skills. What good bookkeeping covers a check a month old with clear instructions as to when it must be deposited?
Furthermore, the December rent check he also has has not yet been deposited and yes, it's going to bounce too because he waited too long to deposit the check. I called and told him that he will get money orders from me from now on and I also decided that I will mail the money orders to him in a certified letter as my receipt for getting it from him and if he doesn't like it he can take it up with my attorney that I'm going to retain this weekend
Oh yeah, and I walked out of my soon-to-be-former job today. A week early. My last day officially is Oct 15, but today my boss did her usual act of stupidity today and broke one of our web sites and yelled at me on the phone about it, this time on speakerphone for all to hear. After trying to explain to her that she keeps sending the images with the wrong names. she refused to listen to me and went further berzerk. So I got up, slammed the door and walked out of the office.
Sorry you are going through this, bud. If you need to call and vent, I'm a phone call away!
I'd love to hear from you, soon. I'm just going to be rather busy with everything.
Take care, and God bless. I miss you!
Darrel
