Well, my boyfriend is in jail--so, what happens??

I have a car accident, which has a chance of leading me into jail, as well. I'm still shaking, and things just aren't good right now.

Nobody was injured, and there was only a piece of metal poking out from his truck--which, I'm going to fight in court that I didn't even cause damage to--because my car doesn't even have a scratch on it.

Anyway, here's what happened. I was waiting for the light to turn green...changing a CD in my car...when BAM!! I was rear ended. I'm like, "Great! Just what I needed." So, I look in my rear view mirror, and both occupants in the car all of a sudden go ape-s*** on me. They start swearing at me, calling me all sorts of obscenities, hitting their dashboard, flipping me off, etc., etc.

I was scared. I thought I was going to get beat up. So, I ran. I drove off. I didn't know what else to do--because they were being so verbally abusive, I felt threatened. I left the scene of an accident.

We ended up having a high speed chase between us, and I managed to lose them for a bit, until they found me. The truck pulled up next to me, when the woman rolled down her window, and threw a lot of garbage at me, which a water bottle, and a bunch of paper hit me in the head while I was driving!!!

I was REALLY scared. I just kept driving, and driving, and turning, and turning, and driving, until I lost them. Then I turned the corner, saw the guy standing out there--without the girl from hell--and I finally pulled over.

He was all of a sudden calmer, and on the phone with the cops. He said I rolled into the back of him. I say he rammed into me. Who gets the ticket? I do. The police officer took his side of the story. So, the tickets are all handed to me, for leaving the scene of an accident, and causing property damage, and blah blah blah.

I left the scene of the "accident" because I was threatened. Verbally, and mentally abused--and I was scared. Of course the judge is only going to look at the fact I left the scene.

I don't have a camera, so, I can't take pics of my car, but, I feel like contacting that dude, and asking him to take pictures of the damage done, and then having somebody take pictures of my car.

Maybe everything will be dropped--maybe I'll be stuck with a huge fine--I don't know.

Tonight wasn't a good night. But, I know you're not supposed to leave the scene of crime--but, do you think I had a valid reason? I was afraid for my safety...do you think it'll hold up?

And, she did end up attacking me--so, who's to say she wouldn't have done something more if I chose to get out of my car at that time?

Pray for me. I need it now more than ever..

Darrel

Oh Darrel, I wish I could just give you a great big hug and hold on to you.  I wish we were all there with you right now.  Of course I will pray for you.

YOU LEFT? bad move.. The cop probably believed him because you left. And you are better off getting a disposable camera. They can accuse you of changing a digital picture. People are stupid, i know.

Don't worry.. these things always work out. Even if you do end up having to pay all the tickets and crap like that.. just remember karma is a b.i.t.c.h

So sorry, Darrel.  Is there a free legal advice phone line you can call?  I think you had a valid concern for your safety and you should try to make that known to someone!

I'll be praying for you!!  Hang in there.
