The job would pay LESS than what I am making now, as well as having NO BENEFITS! The lady that interviewed me said that I would be better off staying at Wal-Mart.
I am not upset. I just have to find a different job at Wal-Mart that will have me.
Tell the people at WalMart that you are willing to be an underwear model! I bet they go for that!!
What about an inside stock person? Or a checker-outer person? You are obviously intelligent and have much more personality than most of those checkers!

I am going to talk to the manager about those kind of positions tomorrow, when I go back to work. I asked him about it earlier, but he said that it usually takes anywhere from 60 to 90 days before I can be transferred to another job. I guess that I'm just going to have to put up with this position for a while.
Pray that my feet will toughen up more and faster...
With my current job, my hands were bloodied every day, and I had such bad blisters--but now, my hands are so calloused!
Your body will become used to the exercise. It's just a matter of giving it time. I went from a not-so-physical job--to a very physical one. It took me months, and months to get used to it.
My body still kills me on the weekends.
*hugs* Darrel

I have talked with the managers about my job and they said that while they liked my work effort and ethics, but that I was too slow. But they said that I had real character and will try to help me get another position in another department when it arises.
Hang in there, Jeffrey. I still just so proud of you for even getting a job!! You have come so far in the few months I've known you! Something will open up for you.

Jeffrey, just wanted to let you know that I think about you often! I hope you are getting settled in at your job, and that doors will open up soon for something better. I'm praying for you!

Today is my day off and I thought that I would get you all up to speed at how my job is going so far...
My feet are finally toughening up to the job. Last night was the first night that I didn't get or feel sick for being up and moving around for so many hours! I think that I am now under 300 pounds because even though my feet are stiff and sore, I feel GREAT! Also, I am now able to fit into a size 46 jeans!!! I haven't done that in YEARS!!!
I think that I have "made the turn" when it comes to this job and I think that I will keep it until a better position opens up...like in the deli department! I SUB SANDWICHES!
I am now going to be a cart pusher! This job will put me outside and I can gather the shopping carts and bring them into the store. I will FINALLY be able to get out of that hot and sweaty back room!
I begin work next Saturday, September 2nd. It will pay only $6/hour, but it will be worth it.
Congrats my friend. I bet this job change will also not have you working that demonic 3rd shift either.
