My boyfriend, Eddie lost his dog of 12 years today. It was sad. We rushed him to the vet and they took X-rays and while he was sedated, Eddie made the decision to put him to sleep. It just happened so fast. It's amazing how such a small bundle of fur can leave such a big void. One moment he's here and the next he's gone. He had him for 12 years. All you dog (or cat) lovers know what it's like to lose a long time pet. We had to step out to do something a while ago and when we came back home we called out to him to come to us, and then it hit us; he's not here anymore. There wasn't even a chance to say good-bye. Steve

Yes I do know what it's like, I lost my dog when I was a child (they had him shipped out to the pound when we moved), I am so sorry for both of you, I really am
I'm sorry for your loss Steve. I know what kind of loss you are experiencing. I am not looking foward to that part of pet ownership. My cats are like my children and I do not look forward to their passing. Hold tight to each other during this time and just hang in there my friend.

Aww...Stevo. You and Eddie are in my prayers. I'm so sorry to hear about that. It's hard. I've been there many times. Nothing can ever take the place of an animal.
Love you, bro. Jesus does too! You two will get through this. *hugs* Darrel
