The woman shows what an idiot & bigot she is, but I think you'd like the way Hannity & Combes handle her!

Hmm... I think it would have been better for them to "mute" her when it wasn't her frickin' turn to speak!! Half of it was just two people attempting to talk over each other!

I don't know... it wasn't very funny, I didn't think. I'm glad they aired it because it reveals hatred for what it is - evil.

To anyone who is woried they might find it upsetting, you can just fast-forward it to the "last question" the guy asks her. I thought that was the neatest part of the whole sad thing.

Chris, I agree that it's not funny.  It's incredibly sad that her (and her father's) whole "religion" is based on hate & God's wrath.  But it shows her for the hateful, stupid woman that she is!

You know, I was talking/thinking about this clip with a friend last night, and realized something bothered me a lot more than I thought it would.

You know, based on what these people say and do, I expected this lady to be a screaming, raving lunatic. What bothered me is she showed so little emotion, it was like she was just...empty. You know? Her eyes weren't right, and her voice had this tone of flat irritation that never went away.

It was like she wasn't a person at all anymore, just this robot that spewed evil. I couldn't even call it hatred because hatred gets people angry- and she just seemed to keep going no matter what.

I actually began to wonder if it were a kind of possession.

These are the effects of someone who has been BRAINWASHED. Cults and their leaders do it to ALL of their members. You're not allowed to protest...then you're not allowed to disagree...then you're not allowed to think...then you're not allowed to feel...

You are just simply...ERASED!

And all that is left is a shell of a human being...devoid of a human soul.

Phelps...Bin Laden...Applewhite...Koresh...Jim Jones...they are all the same.

I actually expected her to be uglier and more snaggle-toothed. Granted, she was just as ugly as homemade sin (whatever that means) but she wasn't uglier than it, like I expected.

I used to think that that family was faking it all for publicity, just to be a pest to society. Now I really believe that they're something in the water up in Kansas... I mean, it almost seems like there's no way anyone could be that crazy... and actually believe the crap they're saying. More astounding is the fact that there are almost 100 people who believe the same way. Of all ages. It's like on 'Angel' when Jasmine came and everyone believed she was a Messiah. It was like perfect brainwashing, where no one questioned, everyone just believed...

I mean, these people don't even make sense. They call their protests "Love Crusades." Then they talk about how much God hates whoever they're protesting. Then they say repent, then they say America is doomed anyway...

How do these people function on a daily basis? When they shop for clothes or groceries, do they stop people in the store and tell them that if they "lie with a man as womankind, it is an abomination?" I think these people are the only ones that make telemarketers hang up first.

And who are these people marrying that they keep having kids? Gross.

The whole thing is fascinating. Yet somehow, it's boring as hell. 2-dimensional people are like penises; you seen one, you seen 'em all.

I actually feel sorry for this woman.

The one thing that I can say though, since I'm trying to say something nice, is that she actually makes us look better in the sense that people see her and her family lumping together gays with soldiers that have given their life for our country (whether you support war or not, most people have respect for soldiers) and that is something that most Americans feel very strongly about. Even if they don't support war I don't think the majority of Americans would be heartless when it comes to a family mourning the loss of their soldier son or husband or brother. So by them protesting soldiers funerals and throwing in the "God hates fags" signs, I think it actually kind of puts us in a positive light because really what kind of sane person would want to be lumped in with the Phelps clan?

Thanks for the laugh, you are probably right here.

Seriuosly, these people are idiots. Susan that was an interesting twist, I hadn't thought of it this way. What is interesting to me is that they turn there hatred towards gays, war, or anything that they don't like or agree with, into something that God hates. They don't even do a good job of backing up what they believe. As far as war is concerned, wasn't there wars during biblical times that were led by the most holy men?

The problem that I see is that a few idiots are given some sort of creedance by so many. Take these kind of people for what they are worth. Everyone deserves prayer and forgiveness and I think we should pray for them all, but I believe that until the judgement day happens they will not realize the harm and hurt that they caused.

Just a few thoughts

What makes me so disgusted is the media giving them so much publicity.. With all the attention they get they're happy and try to cause even more of a ruckus and the media is there  so 'round and 'round it goes. If they didn't get any, they'd just disappear into the woodwork where they belong or should that be into oblivion ...

Actually, Alan, my sister put it best:

Those people are like credit cards: they're plastic and they take all of your money.

Oh wait that was for celebrities

Ok anyway, meanwhile back at irreality: The tragedy about Phelps' clan of fools is that filling them with helium and letting them float into the upper atmosphere is a crime.

And so is putting them in the middle of a gay death metal mosh pit and letting everyone know who they are.

I could keep going, but it's probably counter-productive.  But it lets you into a corner of my dark mind.

For what it is worth I watched the woman and I have some ideas about her as well. I sort of analysed her from the scriptures. I personally discerned an unclean spirit in her that was doing the speaking.
Having said that, let me show you what I feel the unclean spirit manifested.
Since she was so quick to butt in it reveals an impatient spirit. The word of God says in patience we possess our souls. In other words she is one that I predict will fall in time of tribulation before the Lord returns.
It also manifests a spirit of anti-christ. That spirit that sits in the temple (the human body) and shews itself (noone else nor the Lord) that it is god. The person possessed by the spirit of anti-christ will not even recognize it themselves. She is lifted up and not even realizing that by her own words she condemned herself shewing that she thinks that she is saved and the rest of the world is damned while denying the power of the Holy Ghost. If she had the baptism of the Holy Ghost she would have been adorned with a meek and quiet spirit which she obviously did not display.
Her behavior towards the Amish girls was one in which she will be judged just as Jesus said with the same measure she has judged others. Since she refuses to mourn with those who mourn she will see no mercy herself. It's a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Lord. That is why we are commanded to forgive.
The Lord said "let he that is among you without sin cast the first stone." The spirit of anti-christ hides the sin from the individual so they do not see their own sin. They think they are buddies with Jesus and fail to see that when he was given all power in heaven and earth that included wrath along with mercy. Since she wishes to spew hate and wrath on those she can see she will have the same judgment on her own sin she cannot see.
When she constantly interrupted it went beyond rude. She didn't even see that when she manifested that she thought that her words were more important than the others with her it is the manifestation of an anti-christ spirit. That of a god. And not of The God.
Truly she was loud, arogant, and an abnoxious woman to listen to.
Personally, I hope that the Lord will have mercy on her. Unfortunately, the word of God says that evil will spread and grow in the last days and some like her may be predestinated to damnation rather than to be conformed unto the image of the Son of God.
She made me sick and even though I forgive her display of hatred I still have no desire to see her again.
Samantha
PS: Hi! I've been gone a while and don't exactly know how long until I visit again. I've been pretty busy ministering at two churches and trying to build one of my own when not working two jobs, practicing singing and playing the guitar and studying.
Take care and may God bless..
