I'll go first.
Tonight I fixed one of Lisa's Favorites (Korey too). It was my rendidtion of potatoes au gratin.
Take several medium sized russet potatoes and slice them up into thin pieces. Mix 1/2 C. cream with 1 cup milk. Use a garlic press and squeeze several cloves of garlic into the milk. Take and grate about 1/2 a cup of fresh parmesan cheese into the mixture. Melt 1/2 stick butter and pour in the mix. Salt and pepper to taste. Layer the potatoes in baking dish and pour mixture over. If not enough liquid just add a small amount of milk. Be careful not to over fill as this will make a mess in the oven.(spoken from experience) Cover with foil and bake at 400 Deg for about 45 Min. then uncover and cook until potatoes are done, about 20 min. Spread grated cheddar over them and heat until melted in. These are really good. It make take experimenting with the ingredients to get the right mix of flavors to suit your tastes. Enjoy...........
