A few months ago I bought a car from this Christian guy I know from church, for $1500. The car, a 1987 Honda Civic CRX, drove well...
Until last Sunday, when, after a rather nice metal concert, I was on my way home when I found out I had a flat tire
So I tried to get the jack and spare tire out of the trunk.. until I realized I couldn't open the trunk with the key
That's when I made a rather stern phone call to the guy who sold me the car asking him to come out here and help me get this open
He refused to do so, telling me that I was "lying" about the trunk. I uh, lost it, used words that I can't repeat here, and hung up on him
One of my Goth friends and his girlfriend came over and helped me get the trunk open, only to have the dearly loved Christian car seller come over later on to attempt to help put the spare tire on
As he did so, as he was lowering the jack, the jack slipped on something (lost its grip on the car's underside), the car fell, and in the process, the fuel line was ruptured.
So I'm faced with repairing the fuel line AND getting a new tire, thanx to this guy
This guy refused to apologize for his mistake AND told me that is "God's way of telling you He's trying to get your attention".. this guy screwed up my car and yet uses "religion" to justify his incompetence???
It gets better
In true Goth fashion, I must increase the drama.. the mechanic at the garage where my poor car is parked refuses to work on the fuel line because "the entire underside of your car is completed rusted through". In Virginia, that would make the car unsafe to drive.
Wow, I wish I could offer some great and wonderful words to help, but nothing comes to me. Except to say that if you were to type your colorful words, they would show up like this: ****. See, I just typed "****" and all you see is ****! Isn't that cool?
I'm sorry about what happened to you. That is so wrong. And the guy's attitude is so wrong. Would you have a case in small claims court? Can you sell the car for scrap metal? This really sucks.

Check with your state and see if they have "lemon laws" In Texas you can go after the seller if they knowingly sold you a piece of crap. Might be worth checking into.
Good Luck, and sorry to hear your having this kind of trouble.
I think that you might actually have a case for taking this fraud to court. If the guy sold you this car "as is", then there is nothing that you can do. Other than that, you might have a right to sue him. I would ask for some legal advice on this before doing this, though. Do you know of any good lawyers that can give you some free advice?
About this guy claiming to be a Christian, and using lame religious talk to justify his thievery, all that I can say is...
Saying that you're a Christian doesn't make it true than a CAT BARKING makes itself a DOG!
Aww....Phil....I bought a lemon car once a few years ago. I only made one payment before and realized what had happened and called them up and went through some trouble. So, I told them to !@# himself and I stopped payment. So, I understand.....I'll be praying for you....

Thanx all for prayers and advice.. the car is home with a new fuel line (lost half a tank of gas) and a new tire.. on Friday I will take it in for re-inspection and get the final word on things before I proceed further.
