1 Thessalonians 5:16

1 Thessalonians 5:16 Rejoice evermore. (KJV)  Today as I was reading my Bible I came across this scripture. Sometimes it is hard to rejoice when times get bad. Anyone can rejoice in the good times but I want to be able to rejoice always. As I wondered about this I really felt the Lord minister to my spirit about this. He took me to  Zechariah 9:9 . Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass. This blessed me because regardless of how my life goes I can rejoice in knowing that my saviour has come to fulfill all I need. He didn't come as a high and mighty king, but as a man of low estate. He was nothing to look on and being tempted in all ways as we are we can be assured that he knows our feelings and is merciful because he knows. We don't have to be highly educated in this world or rich to have salvation as he was our example. He was dispised and rejected of men so we don't have to worry about being popular to be saved. He chose not a horse as proverbs says a horse cannot deliver with his great strength. He chose an ass. A beast of burden that carries the messengers of God. Man would choose the horse yet  the word of God describes horses as having no understanding. The ass is stubborn. It will stand fast regardless of how badly beaten. Those chosen to carry the word of God should be willing to stubbornly stand in faith regadless of the beating they take. It's good to know that we don't have to be fast, strong, or highly esteemed as the horse. As I wondered on these reasons to rejoice in what the Lord has done for us I thought of Revelation 19:7-8 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready, (8) And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white; for the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints. It's a blessing to know that when our Lord came he fulfilled all righteousness for us and as long as we are obediant to him we may rejoice in being allowed to be arrayed in his righteousness. It blessed me to see what he has done and what he will do. Blessed be his holy name. I can rejoice in that! I hope this helps someone else as it did me. Love, Samantha.

Thank you, Samantha. I can't wait for that day when my Lord will come back and bring me and my family and all of my friends at church and all of you guys into His kingdom. We will no longer have sin to trouble us, the devil to tempt us, pain and suffering to afflict us, and sickness and death to harm us. We will meet all those who have passed on before us, and we will sit down together at the marriage supper of the Lamb in complete and total friendship and kinship, without any worry of being rejected by ANYONE! Homophobia and racism and bigotry will no longer dissuade us from having perfect fellowship with God and with each other.

We will finally me made completely HOLY UNTO THE LORD!

Jeffrey
