To update you, we are moving her in a couple of weeks to a retirement community near us. Right now she's about 40 minutes away in an upstairs apartment. The stairs have gotten to be too much for her, so her new apartment is downstairs, and there's an elevator to the second floor where the dining room is. (She'll get restaurant style breakfast & lunch, Monday through Friday.) When we were with her last Saturday, trying to clean out YEARS of crap from her current apartment, she was almost completely back to her old self. I think she is really looking forward to the move, if for no other reason than it's causing us to spend a lot of time with her these days! She is going through drawers and cabinets and cleaning out stuff, and I think that process of letting go is also helping her.
