My friend Darrel is feeling very lonely and down today. Help him to see that Your love will never fail him. Give him a shoulder to cry on and wipe away his tears. Let him know that loneliness doesn't mean that he's alone, for You are ALWAYS with him. Give him the joy of being Your child, and show him the advantages of being single (like never wondering which toothbrush on the bathroom sink is his). Let him see that there are others around him that are just as lonely as he is, so he can reach out and be a friend to them. This is the best cure for loneliness: reaching out to another who feels lonely, too. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
