Quack quack!! We are under water! If you are seeing Houston on national news, and they are talking about a neighborhood called Bear Creek, then you are hearing about us! We had 11 inches of rain in just over 2 hours. Started about 2:00am. Fun night! Our entire house had about 4 inches of water in it. We just replaced all the carpet & laminate in October. Now we get to do it again! We're thinking tile... We have power, the rain has stopped & the water in the street is slowly draining. We'll be sheltering in place for a few days. Can't wait to get the carpet up. There's not a dry place to step!!

Dear Lord, I hope that you guys make it through okay! The weather has gone NUTS this year!
I will be praying for you guys. Have you ever thought about moving to higher ground?
My sister is having "wet" problems, too. With a very wet winter, most of her house is rotted out and will have to be replaced and REBUILT. Thankfully, the guy that is leasing the place to them says that he'll buy them the material needed to do it.
I'm supposed to start my new job on day maintenance in the store on May 16th. Hopefully, this will be easier on my poor, aching muscles. Can you guys pray for the grandson of Robert, a member of the night shift maintenance team? He has been diagnosed with the WORST type of multiple sclerosis. He's only 9 and the doctors give him only 3 more years to live...if that long. They say that the death that he'll die is where his body's muscles will slowly stop working, causing fluids to build up in his lungs and he'll drown. It's one of the most heart-wrenching ways to die, and will be a VERY hard ordeal for his family to go through.
God bless you and I hope that everything comes out okay with you all.
