Hello from soggy Houston, I thought I would let you all know that Mama Lisa, PapaBear, Alan, Korey , Amy and Mammaws Lett are all in one piece. Ted still doesn't have a house phone so no computer. He uses his cell phone. I just got my phone back about an hour ago. Ted just got lights back. Mine were only out a couple of hours during the hurricane. Ted said I was one of only 2% out of all of Houston to have lights yesterday when he came by to see how I was. He lost a couple nice trees. He only had 3 or 4 as it was. Alan's studio was all fine, thank heaven. I'm sure Lisa will post as soon as she can. Thanks for all the concern and prayers. They helped to be sure. Love to you all - Mammaws
Hola folks. We are still here! The kids all went home, the power is back on, and the phone is working. We ended up having someone come & rip out about half of our carpet & spray something to kill the mildew. Now we are waiting for the insurance adjuster to call us. I'm sure they are a little busy right now! We will have to replace at least 3 bedrooms & the living room carpet. Tonight our AC started making a terrible noise, so it's possible it didn't survive being covered with that much water. Good thing we found that out before the adjuster came!
My office is officially closed tomorrow, but I'm going to go in for a while. I need to get out of this house!! And sooner or later, we are going to have to think about getting back on our diet! Yuck.
