I'm so disappointed!  Where is the storm???  I want to stay home!  I went back to bed after checking the weather at 6:30, thinking since it was just starting to rain that the heavy stuff was right behind it.  But evidently it's just not as big of an event as they thought.  I guess I'll go get dressed.  Bummer.

So, I got dressed & headed to work.  The farther east I got, the harder it rained.  I called the church office & my friend Carla said it was pouring and not to try it.  I came back home, changed into old clothes & ventured out into the rain.  The new flower bed we put in along the back of the house was flooding.  That happened when we were out of town and the water came in between the foundation & wall, leaving the carpet in the back two rooms wet & smelly!  I dug a couple of trenches & got the water to drain.  It was kind of fun, like playing in the rain as a kid!  And I was cool while doing that!  (Cool, as in not sweaty!)

Once I changed again, I checked my email & found that my boss had told me to stay home today.  Timing is everything.
