PRAYER FOR MAMA LISA

LISA IS IN NEED OF DEEP PRAYER. SHE HAS BLOOD IN HER EYE AND DOCTOR IS SENDING HER TO ANOTHER DOC TO BE CHECKED OUT.   GET ON YOUR KNEES NOW AND PRAY THE LORD WILL HEAL HER...

Just an update....the eye problem was a ruptured blood vessel in her eye that caused a spot in her vision. It will go away on it's own with no further treatment.
The doctor changed her meds a little to better control her blood pressure. Blood pressure is one of the reasons this happens, but it also could be many other things including, it just happens sometimes.
Thanks for the prayers.....

Teddy is right. It's not too serious...but it does scare us when we first see it. I had it happen to my teacher in third grade, and her eye looked like it was just completely blood red. Sometimes these things happen. I believe mama lisa will be fine. I continue to pray for her and hope she does not stress out too much at work.

Okay, time for some clarification.  I do not have blood in my eye.  I have a spot in my vision.  The bleed is in my retina, at the back of my eye.  It is most likely caused by hypertension.  It could also be caused by straining or heavy lifting.  It is not serious, but is a warning sign.  If this happened in my eye, it could happen in my brain or my heart.

These are the pictures the eye doctor took of my retina.  You can see the bleed in the second one.

Yes, I'm okay.  And no it doesn't hurt.  On Tuesday, I noticed something in my vision that I thought was another floater.  But then I realized that it didn't "float".  It was (and is) a small, stationary spot on the lower inside section of what I see through my right eye.  (Wow, does that make sense?)  It's not something I can focus on, but when I see it, it looks like something living you'd see under a microscope.  When I first saw it, I was bent over the sink brushing my teeth, and thought there was a little mass of bugs swirling around in the water.  When I close my eyes, at least for a moment, there is a light area where the spot it.  Thursday night I noticed pinpoints of light there when I close my eyes.

When I researched this online, I thought maybe it was retinal detachment.  But it's just a small bleed in my retina.  My body should absorb the blood in 2 to 4 weeks.

Wednesday, as Teddy & I left a restaurant at lunch, I noticed that my head was hurting very badly.  I ended up going home early from work, and then stayed home Thursday & Friday.  My head still hurts but feels a little better.  Don't know if that is related or not.

The eye doctor took my blood pressure & it was up.  Then the doctor's office took it, and it was slightly lower.  But since then, I've checked it several times, and it's been right on target every time.  So I don't really know if the bleed was caused by high blood pressure or not.  Or if my headache is caused by blood pressure.  But since the eye doctor told me that I could potentially have a bleed in my brain or heart, I'm taking my headache seriously.

Thanks for your concern.  Mama Lisa is okay.  It's going to take a lot more than this to get me down!!

Get plenty of rest and relaxation. This will help your blood pressure. Keep taking good care of yourself, and try not to worry to much about the rest of us. God will see us all through!

Jeffrey, that's funny.  I feel more & more drawn to doing more on this site (or .org) or something more in ministry to gay people.  I WANT to worry about the rest of you!!
