Its nearly 2 AM so I better turn in!!! Hope everybody is doing well!!! Lisa, you and Teddy are doing a great job on this board... many kudos to you. I am keeping thinking about what I can suggest to improve this board, but honestly I really like the close feeling on this board. I would love to see a few more people here that can share the feeling. When is the Houston pride?
Its been BUSY here!!! vet is coming this today to do all 7 horses shots and blood work... the lovely vet bill will be close to $800!!! Good thing is that the stuff will be good for a year (minus the boosters).
I can see the economy is hurting alot of people - is anybody feeling the brunt? I am seeing the prices go up and up on gas then trickling down to groceries, restraunts, hay, feed and....... :( I am trying to get more business for the mortgages - I know what media has been saying, but trust me - people can still get a GOOD interest rate! The secret? The credit scores and debt to income ratios!!! (that is for the starters)
Hi Chad! Thanks for starting the check in today. Houston Pride is June 28th.
I slept like a rock last night but woke up hurting all over and just over all tired. So, I took another sick day! Good thing they love me there!! The Pride committee finally got the information about the festival part of the celebration up, so I'm going to take some time today and register, work on hand outs, etc. I'm getting excited!!
Later today I have to go to the dentist & pick up my bite guards. Can't wait! I'm so tired of constant headaches.

I'm finally had me a good night's sleep AND little cat nap this afternoon...My body is getting caught up on that sleep that I've lost the past few days.
Mom is doing better. The more that she talks about what happened with her friends, the better she's dealing with it. However, she still is having some problems with sleeping...partly due because of the back porch light that shines into her bedroom window at night. I turn it of when I get home from work.
The police still hasn't caught the guy. The whole city seems to having problems with burglars. The same week that we moved here, a house just up the street from us was robbed. I told my friends at work about what was going on and one woman said that all of Danville is becoming one big "ghetto". My friend, Howard, said that he used to work as a maintenance guy in a housing project on a neighboring street. He said that there was so much drug activity there that he could smell that there was a METH LAB in one of them, and the tenants were selling them right and left.
We can't afford to move again, so we're stuck here. HOPEFULLY, all of this will stop pretty soon.
So, we spent 3 days building that deck - me carrying boards, bending, lifting, digging, planting, etc. - and I was really tired & sore. But today while getting ready to go to the dentist to get my bite guards, my back went out!! I was bending over putting something in my purse!!! How much sense does that make??
I guess I'll get used to my bite guards. Right now, when I have one in, it's like I can't quit figure out what to do with my teeth & tongue, so I'm ultra aware of my mouth. Not a good feeling.

My mom used to keep a .22 on her nightstand and my wife kept a 45 automatic on hers. I hoped they would never have to use them. It helped them feel safe though. Personally I don't like guns.
Mama Lisa,
I hope your back gets better. I was thinking about buying a purse now that my back has two crushed discs and I may have to have surgery. I can't carry a wallet in my pants pocket because of it hitting a nerve. After seeing how that purse disabled you I'm having second thoughts. Maybe I'll just nail my drivers license and money to some deck boards instead and carry them that way. It seems safer.
