Thought everyone might enjoy seeing the progress of my latest project. I am building a trailer bbq grill. When finished the grill will have 1800 sq. in. of cooking area. I started last week end and this is how far I have got.
Those are for fresh air intake. Look closely at the fourth picture and you will see a flat strap on top of the bottom piece that has holes in it to match the bottom. The handle you see is what moves it back and forth. I only have one side about done. I still have to install the guides on it, then duplicate it on the other set of holes.
I see what your saying.. Boy, have bbq pits come a long way since my day - and we had the latest thing going - a 55 gallon drum with a grate to throw the meat on. Fire get to hot - throw some water on it.. I get first dibs when you cook on it..
I heard that too PapaBear and all I could think of was Granny and the Beverly Hillbillys.. Did you hear Jay Leno last night on that subject. It was so funny.
Teddy that pit is just gorgeous . I was hoping for first dibs but lost out. Oh well what can I say. There sure was alot of engineering and know how went into building it. So glad I raised such a smart child... Now about that ski slop in Florida------------------
2: Wish I lived closer........would love some Bar-b-q........
