Oh, so retro!

So I have a co-worker who is all into the retro candy. We got to talking about all the kinds today and it brought back some good memories.

So tell me.. whats your favorite "retro" candy?

Do you really want me to go there... How about the Sky Bar, they were my favorite also  Sugar Daddys. That and a big huge dill pickle were a Saturday movie treat...They lasted all afternoon. Movie was 2 features, cartoon, serial, news and coming attractions.

Oh, I would certainly fall into the "huge dill pickle" crowd.  My goodness, what a treat!

As far as "retro" candy, though....... hmm...  I always loved "Nerds," and also all of those "lemon-heads" varieties.  (You know, not just 'lemon heads' but also 'cherry clan' and 'alexander the grape'..... there was also a melon one.  Oh how I loved those waxy-yet-so-sour candies in the cardboard boxes...)

I used to go down the "holler" to Snyder's grocery store and get an orange Nehi, in one of those glass bottles with a wavy design on it, with a Mickey Mouse ice cream treat...or a can of "Kick-a-poo" soda with an orange Push-Up.

AHH! I'm getting brain-freeze just thinking about!

I would never drink something called "kick-a-poo!"
