Be yourself!!! Don't try to fit into someone else's mold, you won't fit!!! And that just leads to utter misery!!! Live life to it's fullest in Christ's love every day!!!
Chad!! I'm so glad you are here!! Those are zebra finch eggs. We have an atrium and a while back we moved our birds out there. We have one cockatiel, 2 parakeets, and 2 zebra finches. The finches claimed that little bird feeder as their nest. And about a week ago, while I was feeding them, I noticed the eggs! I'm so excited!! I'm already worrying about the babies falling out of the nest!
The finches are adorable. They are very tiny and when they are not in the nest together, they take turns sitting on the eggs.
The parakeets are named Frick & Frack, but I can't ever remember which one is which. The finches, on top of that roof, are Ozzie & Harriet. Harriet is the white one.

This is the first batch of eggs we've had since we got our birds about 2 years ago. Or was it 3 years? Anyway, they are supposed to hatch within 12 to 14 days, and we discovered them right after Thanksgiving. So maybe this weekend!
I'm very excited! I want Teddy to construct some kind of net under them because the choose to build their nest in the FEEDER instead of in their cage! I'm worried about the babies falling out!

They are tiny and ugly!! The only way we can see them is to get right over the feeder/nest & shine a flashlight down into the mess. It appears that 5 little fuzzy heads are in there, all with their mouths open waiting for Mama!!! As soon as I can get pictures, I'll post them here.

Congratulations Lisa!!!! Sure they wont have feathers when they hatch! But I am sure they will be beautiful like their parents soon! im so sorry you lost one (or mis counted?)
We definitely lost one. When I looked in, there were four little heads bobbing around with open mouths, and one little bunch of feathers & a foot off to the side. As far as I know, it's still in there! gross.
They are getting bigger, but we are supposed to be able to hear them by now and haven't. Could just be we haven't been around when they've been peeping.
Zebra finch are one of the few varieties that are born with feathers. They are a dirty gray color.
