Request from a Friend

This request came from a friend of ours in our Sunday School class.  The first part was sent out a few days ago.  The last part it the update I got today.  Please pray for little Connor & his family.

Please pray for my friend Ronnies grandson, Connor, who is 3 ˝ years old, and his mommy, Brandy, his daddy James, and his 6 year old sister and extended family.

Ronnie got a call early Monday morning from his daughter, Brandy, in San Antonio.  Connor was screaming and they could tell he was in a lot of pain.  They rushed him to the hospital.  An x-rayed determined that he had a tumor on his brain and would need surgery within 24 hours.  Later they drained fluid from his brain.  An M.R.I revealed a large inoperable tumor on the spine of his brain.  They were told it is just a matter of time.

Thanks,

John

Update:

Lisa,
Thanks for asking.  On Tuesday he was in good spirit and wasnt in pain because they had drained fluid from the brain.  He was upset because he couldnt get those bracelets off his arm.  He underwent a four hour operation yesterday.  They did a biopsy and were able to view the tumor.  It is woven into the brain stem, which makes it inoperable.  The current diagnosis is that he has a maximum of one year to live.  He will be having another procedure tomorrow on Friday to put a shunt in his brain that will allow drainage into his stomach.

Brandy, his mother, works at this hospital and Connor is getting the best care and attention, what a blessing.  She works in the Center for Miracles at Christus Santa Rosa Childrens Hospital in San Antonio.  His dad, James, is a S.A. policeman.  The chief of police was at the hospital yesterday.  He told James that there had already been enough other policemen who had volunteered to cover his shift for free for the next six months.

What an outreach of love they are getting.

Blessed Heavenly Father,

Be with Connor and his family. It is so hard to accept the truth of your love in times like these, but I know from the Bible that YOU ARE HERE for them. It says that the death of your children is precious in your sight. Connor was YOUR child long before he was anyone else's. Assure his parents that whatever happens...the peace that passes all understanding will get them through this ordeal one day at a time. And, if it be your will, Lord...do a miracle and send supernatural healing to this little boy, and give him a full recovery from cancer's evil grip. "Death, where is thy sting? Grave, where is thy victory?"

For in Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
