The "Love" of the Church.

As Mama Lisa has said "what people do in the name of God must make him sad" (or close to that)

Here is one example of that, a church refusing to have a memorial service because this vet was gay. Why does this hurt the church, they were not celebrating his gayness, they only wanted to respect and celebrate the life of a brother, son, family member and friend. Yet the Church would not allow them to hold the service at the church. Where is all the love and compassion that is supposed to be in the church.

For heavens sake, He had passed away at a young age and the family does not need to be going through this sort of thing right now so soon after his death.

Please lift up your prayers to this family and to keep this from happening again.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Why is it that most of the evil done in this world is done by those that CLAIM to love You? It makes me so mad and sad about this! I truly wonder why the church commits such acts as this. Can't they see the wrong in their hatred? Open their eyes, Lord, and show them the TRUTH. For in Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

I honestly, sincerely and deeply feel that family's pain, moreso than a lot of people. I know rejection better than I know boyfriends...

God loves us all
