The dichotomy today was unbelievable. I once again had a terrible gay experience (yep, 2 guys both forgot who I was, one lost interest even after being reminded of who I was even though he was so "into me" the evening before when we met downtown blah blah blah)..
..but the goth experience was phenomenal!! I mean, straight goths/metalheads and I get along fabulously, phenomenally!! I got to share Christ with one guy at the goth club tonight!
Phil, maybe you are looking for the gay thing in the wrong places. Were you at a gay bar? I think you just need to be yourself (goth, metalhead, etc.) and when the time is right, the right man will come along.
I'm a big believer these days in the law of attraction. (Not the two drinks at a bar kind!) What you focus on is what expands. Don't focus so much on "the gay thing isn't for me". Instead, focus on your ministry to hurting people, and let the rest just happen.

I know that is true, but it doesn't help when you watch your str8 friends have perfect relationships; we just have another engagement in the goth camp the other night and one within Bible study last week.. meanwhile, 2 different guys blow me off yesterday.
Nonetheless, I had a great time today at the zoo with 50 - 60 freaks hanging out looking at the exhibits and being our own exhibit, and the more I think of it, the more I realize that's probably my destiny, though a rather lonely one at times
When the time is right you will find the right man. I have been single for 3 and a half years now. I have come to the realization that I may be single for a very long time. I also know that I need to accept who I am, and make sure that my relationship with God is in line before a relationship can happen. Hang in there friend....make sure you are making God the #1 person in your life, and the rest will fall into place.
Phil, I'm so glad you had a good weekend, except for the being stranded part! That was a fascinating video you had up. I worried about the guy in the ball/balloon thing. I worried he couldn't breathe! And the girl on the swing was amazing! But watching her gave me that upside down feeling in my stomach I used to get when I would swing. Really cool music, too. Thanks for sharing!

Your blog made me LOL a few different times. It's going to take a while to read everything; however, I'll get to it. It sounds like you've been rather busy!
Hope all is well with you! I miss you! Darrel
